Geneva house extension
The existing house is a building from the 1930s with a first extension built in the 1980s. It is divided into two apartments, one on the ground floor and one on the first floor. The ground floor apartment has been completely restored while the first floor apartment has just been partially restored. The tenants didn’t move out during the construction period. The roof has been completely refurbished. The balconies on the main façade have been restored and extended. A large terrace was created in the garden. Perimeter insulation was added in the basement.
A prefabricated wood pavilion was placed next to the 1980s extension in order to give some extra space to the ground floor apartment. The pavilion’s roof was designed to actas a terrace for first floor tenants.
